now beign error free for more then a week i can say (ihope)
the problem is gone
strange is it got worse after a series of reboots
no matter what driver of nividia i was using
so went more to basics (no nhance & logitech-wingman, wingman sucks,always i had to turn steer left & right to calib, gone now )
i got 3 things i gues what could be it

1. pre-renderd frames was on 0 put it back to 3 (standard)
2. n-hancer
3. wingman. very ocasionaly give's error and shuts down, so seem unstable to me.
** maybe even the combination of point 1&3 does it??

im not gonna find out wich of them is it.
aslong things running smooth , me no touchy

3 weeks after re-installation
i had the error again
exactly at 12:00, when an norton-virus update was goin on

Norton(360 v3)install just whent so smooth
never had any problem with till now.
nicely putting race07/steam in norton's scan & signature exclusion's i thought would be enough seems not
now i update before i go racing and put norton on silent-mode for some hours.
also turned off pulse-updates , ran norton insight (while running Race07)

ive just had the 40 racers 1h:30 schleiffe race and 2 weeks no error
after i did the above settings of norton (running motecadd dx***)

also i asked Alekhine from motecadd and this is what he said

"yes if you use DX*** and if my DLL is blocked by antivirus the game can crash, because the game "think" that it's the Microsoft DirectX9 DLL"
dont know if he means word crash->back to windows
crash->resume flower-power style

i think its strange,
before the windows re-install,i could solve the problem shortly by an nvidia driver re-install. for some re-boots...
why does a fresh installed driver dont have problems during update's???
good question for nvidia/norton
could it be because of register cleaning tools?(i use advanced windows care)
i dont think files of a driver change after install or am i wrong??!!

when this norton expires
im installing norton gaming edition
cheaper and easyer to use 4 things like this

Rennsimulant OFFLINE Simulanten-Irrer Beiträge: 99195	I am also locking up frequently in Race07.I have cleaned my GTX260,,I have turned fan up to 100% I have removed the side of my PC for airflow and I have disabled shadows to no avail.I use Avast anti virus. Just now I locked up and was able to control/alt/delete to task manager and exit non responding game.There was an annoying Steam info popup on my desktop.

Rennsimulant OFFLINE Simulanten-Irrer Beiträge: 99195	u got motecadd's d3dx9.dll file in race07 directory? try running without antivirus once , see if it helps. norton does not like motecadd ,so much is sure (also sonar & pulse-update of norton fucks game up) try using tools like gamebooster,AlacrityPC (Ken Salter) to stop background procces & clear memory
