Marc Madman OFFLINE Routinier Beiträge: 685	Hi! Maybe you just have to try it for a longer time. Your updater needs other PC-Updaters to download (Peers). If no one or not enough users are online with an active updater, your downloader won't find anything to download.

To end the "it worked before" discussion. It always bothered me. Why don't people just do what they are told to? I wanted to end it before but I always wanted to do it with an argument that settles it. I had none, but I got an explanation on the meeting. Blackhawk told me.

Old Updater was IPv4. New one is IPv6.
IPv4 allowed the updater to use port 80 if the specified ports a blocked. Port 80 is the standard internet port. So most of the time it didn't matter.
IPv6 does not allow that. So you have to do it correctly to make it work.

Also an alle "Es ging ja früher" Nörgeler: Alter Updater hatte IPv4, neuer hat 6. Beim alten ging der Updater auf den Standard-Internet-Port 80 (oder hat es zumindest versucht), wenn die eingestellten Ports blockiert waren. IPv6 erlaubt das nicht.

Nobody OFFLINE Profi Simulant (A-Team) Beiträge: 1980	Ja da war auch der Sprit und das Bier billiger. Dafür hab ich Heute Arbeitsbühnen auf Baustelle und muß nicht 20m lange Leitern schleppen. Das wird schon noch werden mit dem Updater. Vieleicht muß man mal wieder für nen Monat allen Usern FTP geben. Bis alles geklärt ist. Also Kopp hoch

hmm thank you for answer and clarification.

1. where is this written?

2. how should i setup it? on Firewall level or should i contact administrator?

This is best one, someone just change something without anything, most of users dont know about this and than someone come to forum and write that he hate "it worked before".

Really this world is crazy.

Can someone tell me what to do to make it work.
