Hello,
I will ask a stupid question, can anyone explain
very simply what Fuel x2 means?
does that means we have to make 2 stops at the Pit, for gasoline,
or that the car will consume twice as much gasoline as normal ??
Best regards JB

hello JB
the car consumes twice as much gasoline.
With the tires it is the same at 2x

warum fragst du erst nach so vielen Jahren?

Yesterday I did a race, where it was indicated fuel 2X and the same for the tires.
43 rounds. I put 23L at the start, and 23L after a pit stop. But in no case did I consume twice more.
So, what are these answers  ?

For a car with a 100 liter tank, it consumes x1, assuming 2 liters per lap (50 laps per tank). If you set the consumption to x2, the car takes 4 liters per lap (25 laps per tank). At x3, 6 liters per lap (16 laps per tank) .usw.
it is the same with the tires. Wear x1 assumed 1 per lap (about 20 laps per tire). Wear x2, 2 per lap (about 10 laps per tire).

I hope that can help you

Dieter

The lap display in the setup is extremely inaccurate. You have to read the consumption in the XD tool.

Ok, I'll take this as an example for future races.
B) I thank you for these detailed explanations.

Well, almost a year later I think I have always understood or so we laugh at myself.
Today, Miami race. Consumption set on X3. I'm leaving with 100L so to do 45 laps. And I broke down in 37 laps. My fault because I forgot the PIT, but I still made 37 laps, so that's why I do not understand the answers that I've always been given here.

Here are the answers to my previous questions about 2X;
Nobody_________hello JB
the car consumes twice as much gasoline.
With the tires it is the same at 2x
Dieter__________ At x3, 6 liters per lap (16 laps per tank)

Neither of these two answers are true or correct. Or it may be a strategy to mislead me. That's not cool.
Or maybe I'm really too stupid to understand.

certainly no confusion.
Use the XD Tool.
It shows you the right fuel consumption.
The display in the box menu is rarely correct.
Drive a few laps with a full tank.
Note the average consumption. You multiply that by the number of rounds. A little reserve on it and good.

No one here wants to give false information.
I´ll give an example: Let´s say the normal fuel consumption (1x) of a car is 3l per lap, if you set the fuel consumption to 2x you will use 6l per lap, at 3 times the normal usage you obviously will use 9l per lap.
Today we had a fuel usage of about 2.6l per lap at 3x fuel consumption. So on a 2x multiplier we would´ve used about 1.73l and on normal settings about 0.87l per lap.

Both answers of Dieter and Nobody are correct, the fuel consumption multiplier is a Server Setting, so once you join and drive a few laps you can see what your fuel usage per lap will be.

Important: As Dieter and Nobody said, the estimated laps given in the setup tab are usually incorrect. That´s why you need to calculate how far you can get with a full tank of fuel by yourself after you figured out your fuel usage like I wrote above.

ok no worries, I'll follow your examples to calculate that at the next race.
Thank you all for taking the time to explain all this to me, and translating it.
Still sorry not to have understood with the first two explanations of Nobody and Dieter.
Sincerely JB B)
