Triple screen questions

my Samsung 23" is falling apart ( got a pink line in the middle)

im looking to upgrade to a triple screen setup
and am thinking in the line of 3x27"
after some looking around i find it hard to choose a monitor at a reasonable price that suits my needs.

things i look for is

- +- 250€ a screen
- minimum 27 inch
- 1ms reaction time (is this for race-sims important?)
- thin bezel (edge)
- reviewed and declared decent
- (optional) well adjustable feet, later i can buy a triple screen mounting rack

any tips would be welcome

hi,

what about dell ips-panels? 60Hz ok for you?
u will get 'only' 24-25 inch for the money, but no tn-crap.

2414(h)/ 2415 or 2515 should be fine for racing in my opinion.

When I choose the Monitors for my triple screen setup I looked for these Parameters:
- 16:10 resolution so I have a little more hight and not only width
- thin bezel (obviously)
- non full HD (to keep the resulting pixel count in check, more on that later)
- not too big (space on table was limited)

I ended up using three acer 23" screens with a resolution of 1600x1200 (if I remember correctly) from acer. And they where quite quite cheep (120 a piece if my memory serves me right.

Pixel count is important because the high resulting resolution puts a terrible strain on the graphic card. Three times the pixel count means the frame rate drops at least to a third! Even more if the memory bandwidth of the graphic card cant cope with it.
So if you current graphic card can turn out 100fps on one screen you wont see more than roundabout 30fps on a triple screen setup.

So especially for the modern Sims like AC a really beefy graphic card is needed to get good frame rates. So you might need to factor a new graphic card in your calculations if you do not have a strong one already.

Triple screen is awesome! No doubt. But bigger is not necessarily better.
